The Roman Baths in the city of Bath are the most well preserved Archeological remains preserved any where in the world. One can see the hot spring waters flowing today. This is the major tourist attraction in Bath. As per the records this was built as a temple by an iron age tribe Dpubulis. When Romans attacked this region around 43 A.D.and captured it they continued with the temple of Sullis and added a Bath as per their customs and social life around 60 to 70 A. D. for there was a hot spring over here. They named it Aqua Sullis, water of the Goddess Sullis and social life of the Romans developed along this Centre. There were many reconstructions done later on in 12th cen and again in 15th.This Bath became famous for its mineral content of the water and its curing abilities and people flocked to have a bath. This spring of hot water is about 12to 14ft.deep and one can see a lot of remains of the Roman period. Most of the reconstruction to this Bath seen today was done in 1897 by John Braydon. Even today the temperature of the water remains constant at 46to 47degree celcius. A, pump room is also added to this complex and there are various videos and images shown on the walls that transport you back to the Roman Era.
