In a train to Salzburg. Austria to me since childhood was connected to Sound of music. It was in class 9th that I had seen this movie for the first time. I wanted to see and visit this place. From Vienna it is a two hour journey by train and cost 50 euroes some thing like 4500 rupees. First, you see the lower and upper Austrian hills. A lot of green before Gaisberg mountain and the alps appear far in the distance when coming closer to Salzburg after about 1 hour and 30 minutes.Trains leave Vienna for Salzburg from the main Hauptbahnhof and Westbahnhof stations, for example, with typically three or four trains leaving the city each hour during normal times. Journey times vary, but can be as fast as 2 hours and 22 minutes. I could see Miles and miles of open lands lush green carpets and beautiful country side on way to Salzburg from Vienna. Journeys in Indian trains are so cheap.I think traveling from Delhi to Kathgodam in a chair car for 6hours one way I think we pay not more than 400 Rs.but this train here has wify and a pantry with a proper restaurant. When will I see such changes in India.MAY BE AB KI BAAR.......
Waiting for election results with lot of excirement and feeling bad that I am missing out all the fun with so many channels all debating, discussing. Here in my hotel room not a single channel is in english and I get only German stuff on all channels. So will have to depend on internet and face book to know the results.
