State University of New York, Oswego in Syracuse

 I had a fantastic trip to  State University of New York, Oswego in Syracuse. It was a lovely flight for one and a half hour and Geraldine Forbes the well known historian of Women's history had come to pick me up. The beautiful drive to Oswego with trees of different hues and the roads all empty was great. The drive was as if I was going through a picture post card. The roads were EMPTY with only our vehicle and both sides were lovely open farms of apples, peaches and beautiful colored trees. Spring comes here early and I could see hues of green, orange, yellow, even purple on trees. I interacted with students from the Women's studies dept. education dept. and in the evening they kept a Pizza party for me and invited many faculty who are there. I met a large number of officials . Syracuse has a good ice hockey team and I saw an ice hockey filed for the first time . I had only read about it in novels and some thing which stayed with me was Love story where Oliver Barrette IV was very fond of playing ice hockey. Now i prepare to leave for HOME and am all excited to go back to my own University,  to my daily grind and  routine of teaching and work.
